It is so important as a woman to take time for yourself. Many of us we live a full life and think we don’t have a second to spare for ourselves. We stop going to the gym, we cut out lunch, we go to bed later and wake up earlier. When we get stressed, self-care is usually the first thing that goes and it only makes things worse. It’s time to change the way we think and start making ourselves a daily priority. By practicing self-care daily we improve our immunity, are less stressed, think more positively, and reduce the risk depression and anxiety. Self -care allows us to be better wives, partners, mothers, daughters, sisters, and friends, when we help ourselves first, we are able to help others more effectively. By neglecting our own needs we run the risk of being unhappy and low self-esteem. To stay on track with living your best life, here are a few activities you can integrate into your day.
- Get enough sleep
- Eat a clean diet, food that makes you feel good and nourished.
- Take a walk or get outside
- Workout, go to the gym, do yoga, go running.
- Do something that makes you happy.
These self-care activities don’t need to take a large amount of your time, just schedule 30 minutes to an hour daily. I like to get up an hour earlier and read, journal and meditate. Once you start, you start to crave it and love the changes you’ll experience.
